What is localization?
Localization is the linguistic and cultural adaptation of a product or content, in any format, to a specific market. This process may include the following:
– Graphic or text content adaptation to a specific target market, their taste and habits.
– Use of date & time formats, currencies and others.
These are some of the most important points in localization, among others, and the objective of it all is to make the user feel it was created specifically for that market or/and to avoid anything that may not be suitable. This way, the user feels more identified with the product/content and improves its marketability.
